The Airton balcony is galvanised as standard prior to powder coating which offers superb protection against the elements. More detail on galvanising can be found here
The frame is produced from 30x30mm Box Section. The infill bars are 12mm x 12mm solid round section. The decorative infill bar is produced from a forged 12mm round bar. The sphere is 50mm in outside diameter
The rings are 100mm in diamater and are produced from 12mm solid round bar.
The gap between the bars is less than 100mm which is compliant with UK building regulations.
The balcony projects 100mm From the wall, and has a clearance of 70mm Between the back of the balcony and the face of the mounting feet. We can produce this balcony with a large projection if required. Just call us to discuss.
The mounting feet are laser cut and have a 12mm mounting hole. These are designed to suit M8 / M10 fixings.
The Overall height of the balcony is 1100mm (1.1 Mtr) which meets the current UK building regulations.
Below is a list of the standard horizontal fixing centers. These are from the centre of the fixing holes horizontally from left to right. We suggest adding approx. 300mm to your reveal opening when selecting your balcony. For example a 1500mm reveal opening would require an 1700mm balcony which has hole centres at 1750mm. This would allow for a 125mm spacing from each edge of your reveal. This is based on mounting the balcony onto brick or block work. If you are choosing your balcony for a timber framed dormer we suggest that the balcony is selected to a size that would hit the timber studwork either side of your door.
